On December 30, SM Entertainment announced on their official Facebook account that, "False information, malicious accusations, and slanderous postings against our artist Taeyeon are spreading indiscriminately on online communities, YouTube, SNS, and portal sites."
SM said, "This is an act of defaming individuals and inflicting great mental pain on our artists, and we are collecting data related to illegal activities online to protect our artists, and we will file a complaint through our legal representative, Kim & Chang."
They also explained, "If you send evidence of illegal activities to our information mail account by January 3 (Sunday), we will carefully review and collect the contents and proceed with legal actions."
"We will continue to monitor and take legal actions to protect our artists in the future, and respond strongly to various illegal activities without tolerance," they added.
Earlier, Taeyeon was embroiled in a dating rumor with VIXX Ravi. The agencies of both artists, GROOVL1N and SM Entertainment have denied the news, but false information keep spreading on the Internet, causing SM to release their warnings.
