Many fans said that they also want their idols to not participate in this joint concert of Big Hit Labels, just like SEVENTEEN.

On November 10, a large number of netizens were both surprised and excited after Big Hit Labels announced on Weverse that they will be doing their first family concert with the artists in the company. The concert titled '2021 NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE' produced by Weverse will take place on December 31, 2020, both online and offline.
Big Hit Labels has revealed the first line-up of '2021 NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE', which includes NU'EST and ENHYPEN. Most recently, on November 11, the second line-up was announced including GFRIEND and TXT. There is still a final line-up to be announced tomorrow (November 12), but with 4 names confirmed so far, audiences and fans have already been expressing their excitement, thinking of the special stages they may be able to see.
On Weverse, social networks as well as online forums, fans left comments listing the performances they would like to see at the '2021 NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE', such as:
- "Please, there should be a 'Heaven' stage with the 18 members of (NU'EST + SEVENTEEN)"
- "I've been waiting all my life for a 'Heaven' stage"
- "DK and Yuju, yes", "I want to hear the artists sing a carol together!"
- "I want to hear BTS sing NU'EST's 'Hello'!"
- "Let GFriend perform '943', TXT perform 'Pretty U', SEVENTEEN perform 'Dynamite', BTS perform 'Hello', NU'EST perform 'Rough'... I know it's hard to happen but..."
However, some of the above dream stages will not come true, at least for this year, because it has recently been confirmed that SEVENTEEN will not attend the grand family concert. On November 11, a source from the management company Pledis Entertainment revealed that, "SEVENTEEN will not be attending the '2021 NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE' presented by Weverse. The group has another activity scheduled in advance for that day. We were unable to coordinate their schedule, so the company has decided that they will not participate in this event."
With the above news, an unexpected situation occurred, when many fans of other groups began to show their... "jealousy" of SEVENTEEN for being able to "escape" this joint concert. Many people explained that they want their idols to have solo activities rather than attending Big Hit Labels' family concert, which can cause a lot of controversy between fandoms, especially during the special moment of the new year.
Some typical comments read:
- "I'm so jealous..."
- "Really jealous!"
- "I'm so jealous that they have their own activities ㅠㅠ"
- "Reading the comments, it seems that the joint concert is not very welcome by fans of Big Hit groups, right? Everyone says they are so jealous .."
- "Really jealous ㅠㅠㅠ ㅠㅠㅠ We also wish our idols to have their own activities that day ㅋㅋㅋ"
- "Wow I'm so glad that SEVENTEEN won't participate in that event, it would be chaotic there ㅋㅋ ㅋㅋㅋ"
- "So jealous ㅠㅠ ㅠㅠㅠ ㅠㅠㅠ ㅠㅠㅠ If only my idol had their own activities ㅠㅠㅠ ㅠㅠㅠ"
- "So they will appear on MBC? Or have a solo concert? Please be a solo concert ㅠㅠㅠ ㅠㅠㅠ ㅠㅠㅠ ㅠㅠㅠ ㅠㅠㅠ"
- "I wish my idol didn't participate in that show..."
- "I really hate joint concerts too .. Please give my idols their own schedules, too!!!!!"
- "Actually, idol groups' fans have a history of disliking company's family concerts... Everyone wants their idols to appear separately..."
- "I'm a BTS' fan, not a Big Hit's fan, so I don't want BTS to attend this concert either!"
- "If Big Hit is smart, please remove BTS from that concert... Even if there is no BTS, they will be able to sell tickets, so don't bring BTS to this concert..."
- "So jealous of SEVENTEEN's fans ㅜㅜ If BTS doesn't show up there and goes on V Live to chat with fans, even for just a little while, I would be happier..."
Meanwhile, fans will have to wait until tomorrow to know whether BTS will participate in the family concert of Big Hit Labels.
