Red Velvet's official SNS released a teaser photo of Wendy's solo album 'Like Water' on March 24. At the same time, SM Entertainment announced that, "Wendy's first solo album 'Like Water' is scheduled to be released on April 5."
It is the first time Wendy releases a solo album since Red Velvet's debut in 2014. This is also the first time a member of Red Velvet starts their solo career.
Wendy's new album will contain a total of 5 songs with sincere messages and warm emotions.
Wendy has proven her powerful vocal abilities through many solo songs during Red Velvet's activities, collaborations, and drama OSTs, and has been showing various talents such as hosting and animation dubbing, so expectations are even higher for her first solo album.
The singer suffered severe bruises and pelvic fractures during a lift crash during a rehearsal SBS' 'Gayo Daejun' in 2019. Then, in August last year, 8 months after her injury, Wendy rejoined the team, celebrating the 20th anniversary of BoA's debut, and is currently working as an MC for JTBC's 'Mysterious Record Shop.'
'Like Water' will be available for pre-ordering at major online and offline music stores today (March 24).
