Rain and Zico will participate in CJ ENM and Big Hit Entertainment's joint audition program 'I-LAND', which is schedule to air in June.
"Rain and Zico will appear in 'I-LAND' as judges and mentors for their juniors," a broadcasting official said on May 12.
Rain has been in the entertainment industry for more than 18 years. He has released various hit songs such as 'Rainism' and 'Love Song', and has always drawn attention for his performances as well as music. He has become a model for his juniors by his sincere attitude of always making steady efforts and doing his best on stage. Because he has been active in various fields, being an actor as well as a singer, attention are being paid on how he will help the next generation of artists in 'I-LAND'.
Meanwhile, Zico debuted in 2011 with the boy group Block B, and has expanded his career to being a solo singer and producer. He made the huge hit 'Any Song' earlier this year and drew enthusiastic responses online by planning the 'Any Song challenge'. His genius planning skills are widely recognized, so viewers are looking forward to him joining the show.
'I-LAND' is a reality program that shows the process of creating the next generation of K-pop artists. Expectations are high as the show combines CJ ENM's content capabilities with Big Hit's production know-how, led by Bang Si Hyuk, who fostered BTS.
In addition to Rain and Zico, actor Nam Goong Min has also been announced as a storyteller and narrator for the show. 'I-LAND' is set to broadcast in June.
