On November 8 local time, the Billboard Music Awards announced that NewJeans would be performing at this year’s awards, which have been revamped to take place at various locations across the globe instead of one venue in the United States. As the performances and award celebrations will be held in different places, the event will be streamed online instead of airing on television.
Other performers that have been announced so far include Bebe Rexha, David Guetta, and Peso Pluma.
Meanwhile, FIFTY FIFTY’s Keena was also previously confirmed to be attending the Billboard Music Awards this year.
NewJeans is the most-nominated K-pop group at this year’s Billboard Music Awards, where they earned a total of four nominations in three categories. The group is currently in the running for Top Global K-Pop Artist, Top K-Pop Album (for “Get Up”), and Top Global K-Pop Song (for both “Ditto” and “OMG”).
The 2023 Billboard Music Awards will air on November 19 at 5 p.m. PST (November 20 at 10 a.m. KST). Check out all of the K-pop artists who were nominated for this year’s awards here!
