On March 3, it was reported that Yuta is confirmed to star as the male lead in TV Tokyo’s upcoming drama “Play It Cool, Guys” (working title).
Based on a popular Japanese animation, “Play It Cool, Guys” is a drama about four men who are entangled with each other through fateful encounters. The drama will provide warmth to viewers through portraying the four men who comfort and rely on one another and develop friendship in a lovely and pleasant way.
Yuta will take on the role of Ichikura Hayate, a handsome college student who is dissatisfied with himself for being colorless and repeating stupid mistakes. As a character with a wacky and unpredictable charm who pretends to be cool on the outside after making a ridiculous mistake but is feeling deeply shy on the inside, Yuta is expected to impress Japanese viewers by portraying a multi-faceted character.
Active as a member of NCT, Yuta first made his acting debut through the Japanese film “HiGH&LOW THE WORST X” which was released last year.
“Play It Cool, Guys” is set to premiere on April 14 at 12:52 p.m. JST and will air every Friday.
