Meet The First Five Members Of TripleS, The Upcoming 24-Member K-Pop Girl Group Created By LOONA’s Former Creative Director
TripleS is an upcoming 24-member K-Pop girl group set to debut sometime in 2023.
The group is being formed by Korean entertainment company MODHAUS and its CEO, Jaden Jeong. Jaden is most well-known for being the former creative director and music producer for LOONA, and has also worked for several other major K-Pop companies including JYP Entertainment, SM Entertainment, Woollim Entertainment, and more.
With TripleS, they “plan to be the first K-pop group to combine the worlds of NFT and K-pop. The members will rotate between the group, sub-unit, and solo activities, as chosen by fans as they will be able to participate and communicate with the group such as deciding the sub-units and the content through NFTs. The group’s concept is the members have the special ability “S” and that they will join forces and demonstrate their abilities through the ‘Dimension’ and will be recreated every season with new concepts.”
At this time, five of the 24 members have been revealed so far. Here is what we know about each of them!
Kim Yooyeon is the oldest of the members so far, born on February 9, 2001 (making her 21 and an Aquarius).
Yooyeon participated on My Teenage Girl, where she ranked #8, barely not making it into CLASS:y. She’s from Seoul, her role model is TWICE, and she enjoys skiing and sweet potatoes!
Yoon Seoyeon is the second-oldest member introduced so far, born on August 6, 2003 (making her 18 and a Leo).
Seoyeon is from Daejeon, South Korea, and while she was in school, she was part of the student council for eight years. She enjoys taking selfies and comfy outfits, her favorite music genre is western hip-hop, and she loves Marvel and Harry Potter!
Kim Chaeyeon is the third-oldest of the members introduced so far, born on December 4, 2004 (making her 17 and a Sagittarius).
Chaeyeon is a former member of both Busters β and CutieL, and she also played the role of Queen Hera in the web drama My YouTube Diary. She’s from Seoul, her skills include acting and MCing, and she enjoys listening to music and watching movies.
Lee Jiwoo is the fourth-oldest of the introduced members, born on October 24, 2005 (making her 16 and a Scorpio).
Jiwoo also participated on My Teenage Girl alongside Yooyeon, and is also a former trainee of SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, YG Entertainment, and FNC Entertainment. She acted in the web drama I:LOVE:DM, her talents are acting and ice hockey, and her role models are STAYC and XIA.
Finally, Jeong Hyerin is the youngest of the members introduced so far, born on April 12, 2007 (making her 15 and an Aries).
Hyerin is from Daegu, South Korea, and is a former trainee of P NATION. She was also an actor and model under Kids Planet for some time. She started dancing in fourth grade in a K-Pop dance class, and began dreaming of becoming an idol when she was in fifth grade. Her favorite color is purple, she enjoys listening to music, and she likes horror movies!
