On June 30, Korean news outlet Sports Seoul reported that Hwasa is currently dating an entrepreneur 12 years her senior who used to work in the music industry. According to the report, the two have been in a relationship for the past five years, and Hwasa was the one to pursue her boyfriend (hereafter referred to as “A”) romantically.
According to an anonymous insider quoted in the report, “Because Hwasa is 12 years younger than A, and she’s a famous artist who’s well-known to the public, A wasn’t able to easily accept her romantic advances. I think he was conflicted because of the age difference and the reality that one of them was a celebrity and one wasn’t.”
As Hwasa is currently in talks to sign with P NATION after leaving her longtime agency RBW, the source continued, “When Hwasa is faced with a big decision, A gives Hwasa heartfelt advice for her future. He is doing very well in the role of her mentor.”
Hwasa’s agency has since responded to the report by stating, “We are currently checking with Hwasa herself.”
