JTBC’s “King the Land” successfully wrapped up its run as the most buzzworthy drama aof the week!
In its final week on air, “King the Land” took No. 1 on Good Data Corporation’s weekly list of the TV dramas that generated the most buzz. The company determines each week’s rankings by collecting data from news articles, blog posts, online communities, videos, and social media about dramas that are either currently airing or set to air soon.
Not only did “King the Land” top the list of buzzworthy dramas, but its leads also swept the top spots on the list of buzzworthy drama cast members. 2PM’s Lee Junho and Girls’ Generation’s YoonA defended their respective positions at No. 1 and No. 2, ending a perfect eight-week streak at the top of the rankings.
Meanwhile, tvN’s “The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch”—the second season of the popular drama “The Uncanny Counter”—rose to No. 2 on the drama list, and star Kang Ki Young took No. 10 on the actor list.
tvN’s mystery romance “My Lovely Liar” jumped to No. 3 on the drama list this week, with leads Hwang Minhyun and Kim So Hyun rising to No. 5 and No. 7 respectively on the actor list.
In its first week on air, MBC’s new historical romance “My Dearest” debuted at No. 4 on the drama list, while stars Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin entered the actor rankings at No. 3 and No. 8 respectively.
Finally, while the drama list only includes series airing on broadcast television, the newly integrated actor list includes cast members from OTT shows—and three actors from Netflix’s “D.P. 2” made this week’s list. Goo Kyo Hwan climbed to No. 4, followed by his co-stars Jung Hae In at No. 6 and Son Suk Ku at No. 9.
