K-Pop Festival HallyuPopFest Is Set For London, And Here’s Everything That’s Happening
Earlier in the year, HallyuPopFest, one of South East Asia’s largest Korean music festivals, announced that they would be going to London, England in the summer! It was later confirmed that the festival would be held in London on 9-10 July at OVO Arena in Wembley.
Since the announcement was made, so many amazing artists have been announced for each day, including for the “Showcase” that aims to promote some huge, upcoming artists. The evening concert would then feature some of the biggest names in K-Pop.
On Saturday, 9 July, the showcase will present Korean-American Sam Kim alongside the boy group P1Harmony.
If that wasn’t enough already, the evening show has some of the biggest and most loved idols in K-Pop, including ASTRO, EVERGLOW, MAMAMOO‘s Hwasa, and ONEUS.
The headliner for the first night is someone all netizens know as EXO‘s Chen will be returning to the stage after finishing his military enlistment. From classic EXO tracks to his epic OSTs, it is definitely the perfect way to end the first night.
If night one wasn’t good enough, the second day is just as jam-packed with amazing artists. The showcase will feature performances from girl group Weeekly and Paul Kim.
The evening concert also doesn’t disappoint with Kep1er, CIX, CRAVITY, and SF9 all taking to the stage to perform to their fans. In the case of the newer groups, it will be their first time performing in front of international fans.
From one EXO member to another, Kai will be headlining the second night and it will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of the entire weekend, not just for EXO-Ls but all netizens attending.
Aside from some amazing artists performing during the showcase and evening performance, it is a day full of activities for those attending.
If you have bought one of the VIP ticket packages, the day starts at 1 PM when there will be a red carpet event in Arena Square. The Red Carpet is an event where the HallyuPopFest London attending artists will walk the Red Carpet, showcase their outfits and greet their fans while they head towards the Red Carpet stage for a Photo-taking and Q&A.
There is then an opportunity for a “Hi-Wave” meet and greet experience with some of the artists involved. On the day of the event, attendees will go to a ballot location to pick the idols they will be meeting. Yet, if you don’t pick the idols of your choice, there is the option to trade so everyone gets to meet their favorite artists.
Even if you didn’t get VIP, there’s so much to do during the day. In the rightly named “Hallyu Town,” there will be a market place open to the public. It will have a variety of Korean-centric booths with activities promoting food, beauty, and lifestyle.
There are still tickets available at Ticketek. For more details, check out HallyuPopFest’s social media platforms @hpflondon2022!
