JYP Entertainment announced their additional position amid the controversy over school v.i.o.l.e.n.c.e surrounding GOT7 member Youngjae.
GOT7's agency JYP Entertainment said in their official position on October 22 that, "During our meeting with the author of the article about Youngjae, the author claimed the same content as what he posted online, but failed to provide any evidence to support it."
JYP added, "We inform you that we will take strict legal action against those who slander, spread false information and further rumors without clear grounds about our artists, regarding this case and other issues."
Earlier, on October 20, a netizen posted an article on an online comunity saying that Youngjae was a perpetrator of school violence. The author, who claimed to be in the same class as the singer when he was in the second and third years of high school, said that the GOT7 member beat him up and took his money and valuables. However, JYP's meeting with the author revealed that the claim was groundless.
