China's social media platform Weibo announced the '2020 Popular Overseas Celebrities Ranking' to mark the start of 2021. In the female celebrity category, IU came in the first place, followed by all the members of BLACKPINK.
BLACKPINK Lisa took second place, followed by her teammates including Jennie, Jisoo, and Rose in third, fourth, and fifth place, respectively.
In the male celebrity category, EXO Chanyeol, Baekhyun, and Sehun took the top three ranks, respectively, while BIGBANG G-Dragon and actor Lee Jung Suk took fourth and fifth place.
In particular, IU has topped Weibo's popularity charts for 17 consecutive months since February of 2019.
