GOT7 Enters Music Charts In 97 Countries With 'Last Piece', Proving Global Popularity
The title track pre-released on November 23, 'Breath', was ranked in music charts of 89 overseas countries within a day of its release, and now that the album has been fully released, it continues to be a hit.
According to REELS Corporation, an overseas consulting agency, "GOT7 has a strong Korean fandom, but this album also worked well because they boasts a strong reputation overseas. It has maintained the No. 1 spot on the iTunes K-Pop chart in 14 regions, and even reached the top of the overall chart in Mexico and the Philippines."
"It ranks No.1 in the overall chart of iTunes in the U.S., No.2 in the K-Pop chart, 7th in the pop chart," said REELS Corporation. "Their new record in the U.S., which has the largest share of the music market beyond Southeast Asia - an area that prefers K-Pop, will be a meaningful starting point for their future activities."
In particular, JB and Youngjae, respectively, wrote and composed the double title tracks 'LAST PIECE' and 'Breath' to realize the musical strengths of GOT7.
