1. He almost didn’t debut in BTS

 

 

While it might be hard to believe, Jungkook almost didn’t debut as a member of BTS. Bang Si Hyuk, the head of BTS’s agency (Big Hit Entertainment), once revealed that Jungkook used to be extremely shy.

 

Actually, during his trainee time, when Jungkook was asked to sing, he couldn’t. He was very shy and would just twist his body for 15 minutes.

Due to Jungkook’s shyness, many people at Big Hit Entertainment didn’t think that he would be able to debut. However, Jungkook ended up getting over his shyness, and Bang Si Hyuk now finds this humorous.

2. He worries about his hyungs a lot

 

 

During an episode of Radio Star, RM spoke about the first time he saw Jungkook cry. He revealed that one day the members were having a meeting with Bang Si Hyuk to discuss any hardships they were dealing with. During the meeting, Jungkook ended up crying when he told his hyungs, “Seeing you guys go through hard times is my only hardship“.

 

 

This surprised everyone, as RM shared that Jungkook usually doesn’t open up about his feelings or hardships. Jungkook then explained that he gets hurt when he sees his hyungs struggling with anything.

 

 

3. He thought he wasn’t being sincere early in his life

 

 

During an episode of Let’s Eat Dinner Together, Jungkook spoke with Kang Ho Dong about some of the concerns in his life, and he revealed that he sometimes feels like he isn’t being sincere with people.

 

 

Jungkook shared that he moved to Seoul at a young age. Due to this, Jungkook constantly worried about wanting to make people like him. He feels that he’s sometimes wearing a mask and not being sincere with people.

 

 

After hearing this, Kang Ho Dong was extremely understanding of Jungkook’s concern and told him that he was doing the right thing. Kang Ho Dong shared that lots of different personalities are needed for different people and that it was a good thing Jungkook was being so open-minded.

 

 

4. He didn’t have many friends when he came to Seoul

 

 

Jungkook moved to Seoul at a young without any of his friends or family. Thankfully, he was able to meet the BTS members who helped fill this void.

It turns out that Jungkook made a mistake on stage that the other members didn’t catch and that he was frustrated at himself. After learning this, his hyungs tried to cheer him up, such as Suga saying, “There are some things you can and can’t do well“.
