Among the target respondents of the survey, 80 percent of the users are followers of BLACKPINK.

The Herald Economy also said on Wednesday, Nov. 18, that BLACKPINK, as well as TWICE, which are the top girl groups in Korea, are also the most popular girl groups in the United States, based on the analysis of the survey.

Indeed, the quartet, which consists of group members Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, and Lisa, dominates Korea and the international market. With numerous fans worldwide, BLACKPINK's megahit tracks, including "DDU-DU-DDU-DU" and "KILL THIS LOVE," surpassed 1 Billion views on YouTube.

The global group is also ranked No. 2 as the music artist with the most subscribers on the mentioned platform. Their collaboration with high-profiled international artists, including Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, and Selena Gomez, also helped them enter global mainstream music charts, which particularly introduced them to non-K-pop fans in the U.S. With their unexceptional talents and fame, they also entered the US Billboard 200, with their latest and first full-length album, "THE ALBUM."

Meanwhile, the third-gen "Nation's Girl Group" TWICE also made it into the top 10, ranking at No. 2.

The nine-membered group is truly popular in Korea, Japan, and America, earning 14 MVs with over 100 Million views on YouTube, the most number ever recorded for a girl group. Ranking at No. 3 is Red Velvet (48.9%), whose slow yet sustained popularity peaked after releasing the Soty-worthy track, "Pyscho."

Furthermore, Mamamoo (47.6%) and ITZY (46.6%) took 4th and 5th place, respectively.

On the other hand, Qoos is a company whose goal is to promote K-pop in the U.S. Market. Their members have accumulated expertise with K-pop and IT in the U.S. and Korea

According to Naver, "It curates the scattered contents so that they can see it at a glance, and through this, it operates a community where fans can meet easily and quickly, and based on the accumulated data, we are helping Korean entertainment companies enter the U.S."

Going back to the ranking, The Qoos's analysis shows that the older a woman or fan gets, the more she is getting interested in new girl groups. As for idol groups such as ITZY and EVERGLOW, with addictive sound and choreography, younger fans like them the most, which may also be the reason why they ranked higher from respondents aged 13-18.

As for K-pop soloists who are former girl group members, Chung Ha (I.O.I), Sunmi (Wonder Girls), and HyunA (Wonder Girls and 4Minute), The Qoos also explained why most of their scores came from the age group of the twenties.

"It can be interpreted that the three are loved by those in their late teens and twenties who want a relatively independent life."
