"Kill This Love” music video of BLACKPINK has just recently created such an admirable new milestone on YouTube!

The music video for “Kill This Love” came out on April 5, 2019 at 12 a.m. KST, and the song is the title track for BLACKPINK’s mini-album of the same name. On November 9 at 10:56 p.m. KST, “Kill This Love” hit 1.1 billion views, becoming their second MV to do so.

It took one year, seven months, four days, 22 hours, and 56 minutes for “Kill This Love” to hit the milestone. It, therefore, beats the previous record for the fastest K-pop group MV to achieve the feat, which was held by BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU” after reaching 1.1 billion views in one year, nine months, eight days, and 18 hours.

"Kill This Love" is the second MV of BLACKPINK to reach over 1 billion views on Youtube with the current views of 1,100,797,822 views. The first is "Ddu-du Ddu-du" which now reaches 1,385,446,964 views after releasing in June, 2018. This song also makes BLACKPINK become the first K-pop girl group ever to reach this impressive achievement. And the third song is "BOOMBAYAH" - their debut song with strong tune and catchy EDM sound now reaches 1,027,987,180 views.

When "Ddu-du Ddu-du" was out, it created such a phenomenon trend over the world that makes people went from a non-fan to a Blink (BLACKPINK fandom's name), a Blink to a stronger Blink, and a non-KPop fan to a massive K-Pop fan. In other words, BLACKPINK really did an excellent job in helping K-Pop reach the world easier.

Watch “Kill This Love” again below to celebrate! And again, congratulations, BLACKPINK!
