On July 14 KST, it was announced BLACKPINK will be the third artist from YG Entertainment that will be joining the global fan community platform, Weverse. According to media outlets, BLACKPINK will join this coming August 2 KST.

BLACKPINK is the Third YG Entertainment Artist to Join Weverse
With Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé joining the global platform, it is expected that the love between BLACKPINK and their fandom, BLINK - who are from all around the world and are always sending passionate support and love - will further expand.
As part of YG Entertainment's strategic partnership formed with HYBE, formerly known as Big Hit Entertainment, and Weverse Company, BLACKPINK follows fellow labelmates TREASURE and iKON onto the platform.
In particular, attention is currently focused on what kind of special content or events BLACKPINK have prepared for their fifth anniversary since their debut on August 8, 2016. According to YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK joining Weverse is part of the group's "4+1 PROJECT."
Upon their debut, BLACKPINK had captivated and captured the hearts of millions of fans all around the world, quickly establishing themsevles as a global star with the release of their multiple hit songs such as "Whistle," "BOOMBAYAH," "Kill This Love," "DDU-DU DDU-DU," "As If It's Your Last," "How You Like That," "Pretty Savage," "Lovesick Girls," and many more.
The group's first full-length album, "THE ALBUM," which was released back in October 2020, took the second spot on Billboard 200 and UK's Official Charts, breaking new records for both the group and K-Pop in general.
In addition, "THE ALBUM" had sold a total of more than 1.3 million copies, making BLACKPINK the first K-Pop girl group to become a million-seller based on the Gaon and Hanteo charts.
BLACKPINK, who has a total of more than 29 billion views on their Youtube videos, currently has more than 63 million Youtube subscribers and 22.8 million followers on Spotify, which is one of the highest followings in the world.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is gearing up for their "4+1 PROJECT," starting off with the release of their movie, "BLACKPINK The Movie," in theaters on August 4 KST worldwide.
BLACKPINK Rosé's "On The Ground" Music Video Surpasses 200 Million Views
Rosé's debut music video, "On The Ground," achieved a new milestone!
On July 13 at approximately 3:30am KST, the music video for Rosé's "On The Ground" had surpassed 200 million views on Youtube. Released back on March 12, it only took four months and 13 hours to reach the 200 million mark.
Besides reaching a new milestone, Rosé is also the first Korean female artist to surpass 200 million views with a 2021 release.
Making her debut as the second member of BLACKPINK to go solo, "On The Ground" became the fastest Korean female solo artist music video to surpass 100 million views in just over a week, beating fellow BLACKPINK member Jennie's previous record.
In addition, "On The Ground" also set a new record with the highest views on a debut video by a K-Pop solo artist within 24 hours. "Gone," which is Rosé's second music video, also surpassed 100 million views.
