BLACKPINK and BTS are included and will be the main characters for tvN's upcoming documentaries, highlighting CJ ENM's 10" Visionaries"!

On Jan. 18, Monday, it was confirmed that the two global K-pop groups BTS and BLACKPINK as well as other prominent stars comprising CJ ENM's Top 10 "Visionaries" will be highlighted through tvN's anthology short-form documentaries.

Along with the worldwide bands, K-pop legend Rain, International awardee and "Parasite" director Bong Joon Ho, producer Kim Tae Ho and more will also appear in the said documentaries.

BLACKPINK and BTS Named as among CJ ENM's Top 10 "Visionaries"

In December last year, CJ ENM selected 10 icons who led to changes and innovations in the entertainment industry, called the "Visionary" for artists and creators who have worked in all fields of Korean pop culture, including broadcasting, movies, music, and performances.

The 10 "Visionaries" members include writer Kim Eun Hee, producer Kim Tae Ho, writer Park Ji Eun, K-pop male group BTS, film director Bong Joon Ho, K-pop female group BLACKPINK, K-pop icon-actor Rain, actor Song Kang Ho, producer Shin Won Ho, and broadcaster Yoo Jae Suk.

tvN's "Visionaries" is an anthology short-form documentary that focused on 10 non-journalists and is produced for about five minutes for each artist. Starting today, Jan. 18 to 22, two episodes will be broadcasted each day.

The anthology short-form documentaries are expected to showcase the great performances of the 10 featured artists, summarizing their contributions which dominated their field of expertise.

For the first episode, Director Bong Joon Ho of the award-winning film "Parasite" and Solo artist Rain, who has become the center of the entertainment industry with "Gang" syndrome will be the first two main stars of the documentary.

In director Bong Joon Ho's episode, the hidden story of human Bong Joon Ho will be revealed through vivid interviews of actors and producers such as Lee Sun Kyun and Jang Hye Jin, who worked together with him.

Meanwhile, Rain who went viral and had a favorable response from netizens for his "Gang" MV dance, will also express his feelings after becoming the center of the music and entertainment scene.

On Jan. 19, K-pop powerhouse BTS and renowned writer Park Ji Eun, whose expertise are truly well-received, will appear for the second episode. Park Ji Eun, the writer behind acclaimed dramas "My Love From the Star," "The Producers," "Legend of the Blue Sea," and "Crash Landing On You," will reveal why her works are well-loved around the world.

As for the septet, they will examine the footsteps and secrets of their success by conquering the world with their music.

On Jan. 20, broadcaster-comedian Yoo Jae Suk and writer Kim Eun Hee will look into the aspects of "Next Entertainment" they presented. Director Jang Hang Joon, who launched an application for a film for writer Kim Eun Hee, said, "I've never seen a writer who works so hard. She only eats, sleep, write, with no hobbies."

On Jan. 22, Producer Shin Won Ho, who captured humanistic eyes through his dramas "Reply" series, "Prison Playbook," and "Hospital Playlist," will appear along with actor Song Kang Ho, a versatile actor who rose to prominence after "Parasite."

Lastly, on Jan. 22, the producer of the variety show "How do you play?," along with world-renowned quartet BLACKPINK, will conclude the anthology with their stories to stardom.

The stories of 10 people who led Korean pop and culture to the mainstream are expected to leave a strong impression.

"We hope you will have a chance to see at a glance the trajectory of the brilliant achievements of non-journalists through the new year's anthology documentary," said the marketing planning manager at CJ ENM.

"Visionary" will air two episodes every afternoon for five days from Jan.18 to Jan. 22.
