Many fans have been very disappointed and sad as their K-Pop idols' efforts went down the drain along with big concerts due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The COVID-19 outbreak has left significant effects on the K-Pop music industry. In particular, there have been a series of groups who had to cancel their concerts and tours even though they have been practicing and preparing for months. Here is a list of top concerts and tours that were canceled, leaving fans devastated.

BTS - MAP OF THE SOUL TOUR

Without the pandemic, BTS would have held the biggest and most invested concert tour ever in their career.

BTS planned to open 'MAP OF THE SOUL TOUR' in Seoul, South Korea in April, 2019. However, due to COVID-19, all of the 4 concerts, which were expected to gather 200,000 participants, were canceled. The rest of the tour taking place in the US and European countries was also postponed. However, if the situation does not improve, all will be canceled, too.

TWICE - TWICELIGHTS WORLD TOUR

TWICE was unable to hold their 'TWICELIGHTS' concerts at the Tokyo Dome, Japan, and in Seoul.

The two concerts at Tokyo Dome within the 'TWICELIGHTS WORLD TOUR' of the girls were canceled even though JYP had previously tried to reschedule ot from March to April. Filling the Tokyo Dome is not easy, but even so TWICE managed to sell out the 2 nights' concert tickets within minutes. Sadly, it didn't go smoothly for them, and they also had to cancel their concerts at KSPO Dome, Seoul.

These 2 concerts have been canceled.

RED VELVET - LA ROUGE TOUR

Red Velvet was going to continue to perform the 'La Rouge Tour' in Japan, but then COVID-19 happened. Notably, the group was planning to perform their hit song 'Psycho' during these concerts.

Red Velvet planned to hold the Arena Tour under the 'La Rouge Tour' in Japan. Initially SM Entertainment was quite hesitant to cancel the tour, but the fan community pressured the company to do to protect the members. The Arena Tour was eventually canceled and the rest of the tour's future is still unknown.

NCT 127 - NEO CITY THE AWARDS (2nd Tour)

According to the initial information posted by Billboard, NCT 127 was expected to kick off their second world tour 'Neo City - The Awards' in June, 2020, after releasing the full album 'Neo Zone'. The schedule for states and cities in North America has also been determined, but eventually all were canceled when the US suddenly became a new center of the COVID-19 pandemic.

NCT DREAM - THE DREAM SHOW

As scheduled, NCT DREAM was about to hold 'The Dream Show' in Asian countries like Macau, Singapore, Japan and so on. However, all these concerts were canceled because of the outbreak.

(G)I-DLE - 1st WORLD TOUR 'I-LAND: WHO AM I'

Without the epidemic, (G) I-DLE would have held the first World Tour of their group career.

(G) I-DLE has planned the first World Tour of their career 'I-LAND: WHO AM I' with a dense schedule in 32 cities around the world. However, the first concert was not held due to the novel coronavirus and Cube Entertainment had to cancel the entire World Tour. The group then moved on to an online concert but the fans were still sad.

(G)I-DLE held an online concert instead.

SEVENTEEN - DOME TOUR and 4th FANMEETING

If there was no pandemic, SEVENTEEN would have made their Dome Tour - the dream of the group members.

Every K-Pop artist has the dream of holding a dome tour successfully in Japan. SEVENTEEN was also about to do that with the first Dome Tour of their career in May, 2020. The group sold out tickets for concerts in Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka and recorded their name in the history of the dome tour with other popular K-Pop groups. However, everything was canceled.

They also could not hold the 'SEVENTEEN 4th Fanmeeting' even though Pledis Entertainment extended the deadline for fans and rented a huge venue.

The fanmeeting was canceled as well.
