It seems that whenever BTS makes a wish, it ends up coming true, as a lot of the wishes they made in the past ended up coming true this year. Here’s a look at 5 wishes made by BTS in the past that came true this year.
1. Suga’s wish for Jimin to get taller
In 2019, Suga gave quite the birthday message to Jimin, as he wished him a happy birthday and wished that he would get taller.

Well, in 2020, Jimin revealed that he got taller. When Jimin measured his height in March of 2019, he was 173.6 centimeters tall. When he measured in October of 2020, he was measured at 174 centimeters.
2. Jungkook’s wish for the members to produce a whole album
In 2017, Jungkook expressed during an episode of Bon Voyage 2 that he wanted BTS to produce an entire album, from the album art to the outfits in the music video.
This ended up coming true this year, as in their recently released album BE, the members were responsible for every part of the album, including video production, music management, and much more.
3. RM’s wish to be close with singer Younha
In 2015, BTS interviewed with The Star, and all the members filled out a profile questionnaire. In RM’s profile, he expressed that he wanted to get close with singer Younha.

In 2020, RM’s desire to get close with Younha came true, as Younha reached out to RM to see if he wanted to collaborate with her. RM ended up accepting the offer, and their song “Winter Flower” was born.
4. Jungkook’s wish to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart
During the 2018 MAMA, Jungkook expressed how he wanted to hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
This wish came true this year when BTS’s “Dynamite” charted at No.1 on the Hot 100 chart.
5. Suga’s wish to perform at the GRAMMYs and to win a GRAMMY
In 2018, Suga expressed how he wanted to perform at the GRAMMYs.
In 2020, this came true as BTS performed at the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards singing a rendition of “Old Town Road” with Lil Nas X, Billy Ray Cyrus, Mason Ramsey, Diplo, Young Thug, and Nas on a rotating stage.
Suga also expressed in 2018 that he wanted BTS to win a GRAMMY.
This also could come true, as it was recently announced that BTS’s “Dynamite” is nominated for “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” for the 2021 GRAMMYs.
