The highly-anticipated second season of “The Uncanny Counter” has shared a sneak peek of Yoo In Soo in his brand-new role!

Based on the hit webtoon of the same name, tvN’s “The Uncanny Counter” is a superhero drama starring Jo Byeong Gyu, Kim Sejeong, Yoo Joon Sang, and Yeom Hye Ran as demon hunters with supernatural powers. Two and a half years after the first season’s successful run, the drama is returning with its long-awaited second season next month.
In “The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch,” Yoo In Soo will be joining the cast as new character Na Jeok Bong, a harmless and naive country boy. Jeok Bong lives a simple and peaceful life as a farmer, where he wears a cheerful smile even while breaking a sweat shoveling cow dung.
Yoo In Soo humbly confessed to feeling nervous about whether his acting might drag down the drama, remarking, “As a viewer who really enjoyed watching Season 1, I worried a lot when I heard that I’d be part of ‘The Uncanny Counter 2.'”
However, he went on to express confidence in his character, teasing, “Although Na Jeok Bong might be unsophisticated, please look forward to seeing him as a new superhero who knows how to fight back.”
“The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch” will premiere on July 29 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
