Kim Chiu has been locking herself up in her home just as the government has ordered to help contain the spread of the
COVID-19.In an interview on Sunday as part of the “Pantawid ng Pag-ibig: At Home Together Concert,” Chiu urged her followers to do the same so as to protect not just themselves against the coronavirus but the country’s health workers.
“
Lahat tayo pwedeng tamaan,” she said.Amid this difficult time, Chiu said the frontliners deserve the utmost gratitude for they are keeping the country afloat.
“
Furthermore, Chiu took the opportunity to knock on the doors of the more privileged ones to donate to ABS-CBN’s “Pantawid ng Pag-ibig” campaign, which aims to provide food and basic necessities to
Filipinos who are unable to make a living because of the Luzon-wide lockdown.
“
After the six-hour virtual concert on Sunday, ABS-CBN was able to raise a total of P236,997,391 to be allotted for the less fortunate affected by the COVID-19 crisis. Before her live interview, Chiu appealed to the viewers through a vlog to be united during this unfortunate season so the country may be able to rise above this ordeal.
