Choa (real name Park Cho Ah, 30), a former member of girl group AOA, has confirmed to make a fresh start at Great M Entertainment.
According to an entertainment industry official on August 21, Choa has moved to Great M Entertainment, a new agency founded by Kim Young Sun, who was a founding member and managing director of FNC Entertainment.
While serving at FNC Entertainment, CEO Kim has discovered and organized his agency's flagship stars such as FT Island, CNBLUE, AOA, N.Flying, SF9, Cherry Bullet and actor Jung Hae In.
"Choa recently signed an exclusive contract with our company," Great M Entertainment confirmed the news in an official press release on August 21. "We are to be with Choa, who has a variety of charms," he said.
The singer shared through her agency, "I sincerely thank the fans who waited for me and I will work hard with a grateful heart."
Choa debuted as AOA in 2012 and was active until June 2017. She was the oldest sister in the team and the main vocalist who helped promote AOA's name. She stopped working in the entertainment industry due to depression and insomnia, and spent a long time recovering.
The idol returned to the K-Pop scene three years after leaving AOA, as she participated in singing the OST of KBS 2TV's Monday-Tuesday drama 'To All The Guys Who Loved Me'.
Kim Young Sun, CEO of Great M, said, "We are looking forward to working with Choa in the future based on the relationship we have discovered and planned."
