According to media outlet reports on July 3, EXO member Kai is gearing up for his official solo debut. "It is true that Kai is preparing for a solo album, the schedule is still undecided and will be released later", an official at SM Entertainment, the agency announced.
EXO, which debuted in 2012, had solo activities after 8 years by Chen, Baekhyun, Suho and Lay. Kai will be a solo runner on the fifth team for his solo album.
Kai is EXO's main dancer who majored in dance, and has been loved by global fans for his performance that combines elegant dance lines and colorful visuals. In particular, Kai's solo dance in hanbok was broadcast live around the world at the closing ceremony of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, drawing much attention and receiving a lot of love from fans and also non-fans.
