On October 17, the BTS and BLACKPINK fan community around the world had the opportunity to discuss a stir in front of sources surrounding the two groups submitting nominations for the 2021 Grammy. Accordingly, the Big Hit family has submitted 7 nomination categories for the Academy, all competing categories revolve around the song Dynamite and the album Map of The Soul: 7 of BTS.

If the internal information is correct, it seems that the Big Hit family put a lot of hope in Dynamite when registering this hit in 2/4 "Big Four" categories of Grammy: Record of The Year and Song of The Year. BTS's latest song is also registered for nomination in 2 more awards, namely Best Pop Duo / Group Performance and Best Music Video.

With the album Map of The Soul: 7, Big Hit sent to compete in one category in "Big Four": Album of The Year. In addition, this album was also submitted to the Best Pop Vocal Album category and a purely technical category of Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.

On the BLACKPINK side, there is a source that the YG family and Selena Gomez simultaneously submitted Ice Cream to compete in many categories. Accordingly, while the YG family only "lightly" submitted Ice Cream for the small category of Best Music Video, the crew of Selena Gomez brought the song to compete in 2/4 categories "Big Four": Song of The Year, Record of The Year and a sizable category of Best Pop Duo / Group Performance.

However, with Ice Cream's modest success in the US market, audiences do not expect this product as much as BTS. Even with the support from Selena Gomez, you should remember: Justin Bieber's ex-lover never received an official Grammy nomination, let alone winning!

Fans should also pay special attention that submitting a product to this submission round is relatively easy, just a music product released between September 1, 2019 and 31/8/2020, will be eligible to send back to the Academy if the submission met some specific criteria. Dynamite or Ice Cream, if it is true to be sent by Big Hit and YG, is only currently in this round.

Next, the Academy will have the first vote taking place from 30/9 - 12/10/2020 to select official nominations for the categories. The official Grammy 2021 nomination has yet to be announced, but it will certainly be after October 12, as late as November. From December 7, 2020 to January 4, 2021 is the final round of voting by members of the Academy.
