BLACKPINK has finished shooting the music video for their upcoming special collaboration with Selena Gomez.

YG Entertainment said on August 19 that, "BLACKPINK's preparations for their worldwide comeback of are going smoothly," adding, "The four members (Jisoo, Jenny, Rose, Lisa) are currently finishing their final works after completing their music video shoot."

The title of BLACKPINK's new song is still a mystery. Aside from the news that world-renowned pop star Selena Gomez will be participating as a featured artist, everything is being carried out under tight security.

Whether Selena Gomez will appear in BLACKPINK's new music video is one of the biggest concerns. The singer posted a photo on Instagram on Ausust 18, showing a pink car with a license plate that reads "Selpink." As a result, global fans have expressed their expectations and curiosity about the set of BLACKPINK's music video.

"We ask for your understanding that we cannot say anything about the new music video yet," a YG official said. "But BLACKPINK's latest song is a very cool song that goes well with the hot summer."

It is expected to be definitely different from BLACKPINK's existing mega hit 'Kill This Love' or 'How You Like That'.

A YG official explained, "As BLACKPINK has shown swag and hip-hop-based music in the past, the new song has more lovely and refreshing charms."
