With BLACKPINK‘s upcoming album, The Album, set to release in just a few days on October 2, the girl group has been getting a lot of attention lately, and for good reason! They’ve been releasing teaser images and videos for the album, the lead single of which is called “Lovesick Girls”. Fans went crazy in particular when Jisoo‘s teaser posters were the first to be released!

In order to celebrate the members of BLACKPINK before their album release, here’s a list of interesting facts about the group’s visual, Jisoo, that you might not have known about!

1. She’s the maknae of her family.

Jisoo has an older brother and an older sister in her family, making her the youngest sibling.

2. She trained for a long time.

Jisoo was a trainee under YG Entertainment for 5 years, from 2011 until 2016 when BLACKPINK debuted in August. For her audition with YG Entertainment, she sang “I Have a Lover” by Lee Eunmi.

3. She’s part of a ’95 line idol friendship.

Born in 1995, Jisoo is close friends with other idols born the same year, including TWICE‘s Nayeon, Red Velvet‘s Seulgi, and Cosmic GirlsBona.

4. She’s the nickname-giver in BLACKPINK.

Since Jisoo enjoys making nicknames for people, she gave her fellow BLACKPINK members some of their iconic nicknames: Lisa‘s “Nallalisa”, “Yo-Lisa”, “Jo-Lisa”, and “Koggi-Lisa”; Rosé‘s “Rosé-Pasta”;and Jennie‘s “Jendeuk”.

5. Her visuals are no joke.

Before she debuted, Jisoo was a secret trainee at YG Entertainment. Because of this, someone from SM Entertainment actually tried to cast her at a YG Entertainment concert! Also before she debuted, she featured in so many things because of her visuals that she was nicknamed “the kid who did everything but debut”.

6. She has a strange fear.

When Jisoo was young, she actually got bitten by a hamster. Because of this, she’s now afraid of them!

7. She’s a very picky eater.

There are many foods that Jisoo doesn’t like. They include: Seaweed soup, non-spicy naengmyeon, curry with carrots (she’ll eat it without them), shrimp, mango, cold water, pork cutlets, hamburgers, udon, bean sprout soup, budae jjigae, dumplings, Korean meatballs, most sushi, green vegetables, onions, and kimchi jjigae. Her favorite food is strawberries.

8. The secret to her perfect skin.

Jisoo swears by face masks for good skin. In fact, she loves them so much that she uses at least 1 per day, and sometimes up to 2 or 3 in a day.
