JTBC's hit entertainment show 'Hidden Singer' (planned by Cho Seung Wook, directed by Hong Sang Hoon and Shin Young Kwang) will return with a more powerful season 6 on July 31.
JTBC said on July 8 that 'Hidden Singer', JTBC's flagship music program, will greet viewers every Friday night at 9 PM KST starting July 31, after unveiling a main poster showing MC Jeon Hyun Moo. On the poster, Jeon Hyun Moo, with the bright number 6 behind him, puts his finger on his lips and poses with the signature pose of the show. In addition, the phrase "Hidden Singer is back with a six-sense twist" heralds a heartwarming turnaround this season will offer.
Introducing the evolution from watching to listening music, 'Hidden Singer' is a strong music show representing JTBC. Since its beginning with the pilot broadcast in late 2012, it has run a total of five seasons so far, starting with season 1 in 2013. The novel format, in which original singers and impersonators compete to determine the winner, was adapted in China, Vietnam, Europe, and the United States and was recognized worldwide.
In terms of ratings, the series also set a record. 'Hidden Singer 5', which aired in 2018, was loved so much with the third episode featuring singer PSY, recording the highest ratings of the season (8.8 percent, according to Nielsen Korea). Attention is focusing on whether 'Hidden Singer 6' will be able to surpass the ratings of the previous season.
