On July 23, following Goo Hye Sun ’s announcement on Instagram, MIMI Entertainment officially confirmed that the actress had signed an exclusive contract with the agency.
MIMI Entertainment is a new agency led by CEO Kim Sung Hoon, a former YG Entertainment employee who personally worked with Ku Hye Sun during her time at the company.
A representative of MIMI Entertainment stated, "We will work alongside global actress Goo Hye Sun in a variety of promotions both in Korea and overseas, continuing our relationship after working together for a long time at YG Entertainment."
The agency added, “Through our history of working together for her diverse activities as an actress, director, and writer, we have built up a deep trust in one another. With that as a foundation, we are looking forward to her new start. We will fully support the activities of artist Goo Hye Sun, who possesses a diverse array of charms, in a family-like atmosphere.”
The founder of MIMI Entertainment Kim Sung Hoon previously worked as a management official under YG Entertainment's actors branch, overseeing artists including Goo Hye Sun, Yoo In Na, Kang Hye Jung, and more.
