JTBC’s upcoming drama project is called “More Than Friends”, released new stills of Block B P.O and Baek Soo Min!
“More Than Friends” tells the story of two close friends who both fall in unrequited love with one another over the course of 10 years. Shin Ye Eun will star as Kyung Woo Yeon, a girl who decides to give up on her one-sided love for her guy friend after a decade of pining. Meanwhile, Ong Seong Wu will play Lee Soo, the longtime object of Kyung Woo Yeon’s affection, who suddenly starts seeing her in a different light after years of friendship.
The newly released stills show Jin Sang Hyuk (P.O) and Han Jin Joo (Baek Soo Min) at Jin Sang Hyuk’s bar Tonight. As always, Jin Sang Hyuk welcomes his friends to the bar with a bright smile, while Han Jin Joo sits comfortably at the bar she frequents. Being close friends in nearly 10 years, they have a love-hate relationship which is evident when Han Jin Joo shows Jin Sang Hyuk an exasperated smile while Jin Sang Hyuk pretends to be disgusted at the sight of her. In another photo, Han Jin Joo even grabs Jin Sang Hyuk by the collar, raising curiosity about their chemistry.
Besides romance which is an avoidable subject, viewers are also excited to know more about the friendship and relatable plots of the main characters. There must be some interesting events to happen around these unique friends when they gather up at their spot, Tonight.
Block B P.O will turn into Jin Sang Hyuk, a young and ambitious man who goes has spent everything for his bar Tonight. After taking over the restaurant that was going to ruins, he mostly runs his restaurant with his friends as his main customers but he already has his own plans. He is also a loyal friend who is greatly affectionate towards his friends. With the bright smile and refreshing vibes, P.O is expected to bring these unique personalities into this character.
His long-time friend, Baek Soo Min is played by Han Jin Joo, a prosecutor who has never in love before and her most desired in life is dating. The girl is highly intelligent and knows how to deal with problems, except dating.
She thought that when entering college, she could naturally begin a romantic relationship after finishing her studies and become a prosecutor. However, her daily lives are just about her own complaints about how lonely she is. Behind the professional outlook, she could only show her hidden expressions to her close friends.
According to the production team, “‘More Than Friends’” contains a story that anyone who has gone through their youth can relate to. In addition to the main romance story, viewers can enjoy various interesting aspects with the addition of the relationships and narratives of the six close friends.” They added, “P.O and Baek Soo Min are very synchronized with their characters. Please anticipate the love-hate synergy unique to the two actors.”
“More Than Friends” premieres on September 25 at 11 p.m. KST and will be available with English subtitles on Viki.
