The former High School Musical star took to Instagram Live on Monday (March 16, 2020) and insisted it is “inevitable” people are going to die as the COVID-19 virus rages on, prompting fans and critics alike to blast the actress for her “heartless” remarks.
Hudgens also complained about the possibility that quarantining could continue until July.
On Tuesday, she posted a new video to her Instagram account, claiming her comments were “taken out of context”.
“It’s a crazy time,” she said. “I’m home and in lockdown and that’s what I hope you guys are doing too… I’m not taking this situation lightly at all.” Vanessa Hudgens also posted an apology on Twitter.
