Taylor Swift has opposed the point of United States president, Donald Trump, and supported for a voting method he has frequently attacked.
The pop superstar hasn't had the habit of expressing her thoughts and comments on political issues but she has used her voice on the subject amid the Trump administration. She currently shared her tweets to support the Black Lives Matter protests in the country before heading to the country's leadership over racial inequality.
Taylor Swift posted on social media: "Racial injustice has been ingrained deeply into local and state governments, and changes MUST be made there.
"In order for policies to change, we need to elect people who will fight against police brutality and racism of any kind."
Before admitting to supporting for mail-in voting ahead November's presidential elections, Taylor shared an article written by Barack Obama under the title "How to Make this moment the Turning Point for Real Change", saying: "No one should have to choose between their health and having their voice heard". Mail-in voting looks set to be a major issue ahead of the upcoming election.
According to the press, this method will allow citizens to cast their ballot without fearing of the widely Coronavirus's threat but critics - chief among them Mr.Trump - say the system is open to abuse.
In May, the president accused the state of California of sending ballots to "people who aren't citizens, illegals" and "anybody who is walking or breathing".
Republicans in the state are suing Democratic governor Gavin Newsom in an attempt to block his plan to send mail ballots to every registered voter.
It is certain that, this opinion of Taylor Swift was not the first time she went against the former United States president.
