Lil Nas X just tweeted that he would want to make a song with female rapper, Nicki Minaj - who has recently had a come back featuring rapper 6ix9ine.
After the tweet, a fan of Nicki Minaj asked, "How come you never claimed her when people asked if you were a barb?? We all knew who you were" (Barb is Nicki's fanbase).
"i didn't want people to know i was gay tbh", Lil replied.
"Being a barb don't make you gay.", a fan chimed in.
Lil Nas then sincerely answered the tweet as to solve the fans' curiosity, "it don't but people will assume if you had an entire fan page dedicated to nicki u are gay. and the rap/music industry ain't exactly built or accepting of gay men yet."
Before the fame, Lil Nas X had a twitter account named @nasmaraj with 200K followers, in which he showed himself as a true Barb and the whole feed was full of Nicki Minaj news. However, after he got famous, he did totally ignore the existence of that account, which made Nicki's fanbase upset.
After his coming out, Lil Nas X once tweeted, "life is too short to pretend you're not a barb"
