Katy Perry and her fiancé Orlando Bloom have confirmed to delay their wedding again as they are concentrating to prepare for their first child next month.
In a new interview, the singer admitted the couple and her own family are focusing on "delivering a healthy child" at the best.
"We just want to deliver a healthy child. Everyone has to take life one week at a time right now."
The couple was rumored to have planned to tie the knot last winter but the have to postpone the ceremony which was set to take place in Japan this summer.
Katy Perry echoed her comments in a recent interview with Howard Stern, detailing: "Obviously, that will happen in the future, but for now we just want to deliver a healthy child. And that's what's coming up right now!"
In March, Orlando revealed the coronavirus pandemic had also affected their wedding plans.
He said: "I'm not joking when I say that coronavirus might have a play in whether we put things on ice, because we're going to be traveling and we don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable."
In sharing about the plans, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom revealed that they will hold two parties for "local" and for "destination wedding".
The baby will be their first child that the Fireworks singer shares with the Caribbean actor.
Orlando was married to model Miranda in 2010 until late 2013, while Katy wed comedian Russell Brand in October 2010, before they came up with a divorce in early 2012.
In preparing for the baby's entrance, Katy had already chosen her close friend, actress Jennifer Aniston to become her daughter's godmother.
The pair has been friends to each other for nearly a decade and been called as one of the iconic celebrities friendship in Hollywood. However before the two beauties decided to tie the knot, both have something in common, especially their taste in men.
In 2008, the actress had a short-term relationship with Katy's ex boyfriend John Mayer. They was tin an on-and-off relationship from 2012 to 2015.
Katy first met Orlando when they came to Golden Globes after-party in 2016 and quickly fell for each other, then decided to take the next step as starting dating.
As every love stories have up-and-down moments, the pair also went through a short-break in 2017 but were back together in April, 2018 and their love becomes stronger than ever when the singer said "yes" towards the proposal that Orlando asked on Valentine's Day in 2019.
