DAY6 Young K, SHINee Key, Super Junior Sungmin, and HIGHLIGHT Yoseob: K-pop Male Idols Solo Comebacks and Debut to Anticipate in September
Opening the competition is Young K from DAY6, who became a solo artist six years after his debut. On September 6, Young K dropped his first mini-album, "ETERNAL," of which the title is inspired by his real and stage name.
Prior to his enlistment in October, Young K delivered this special gift to fans, containing tracks he personally wrote, composed, and directed.
The title song, "Guard You," features an explosive chorus part of EMO hip-hop rhythm and emotional rock sound, and is a song that vows to protect a loved one even if everything breaks.
Meanwhile, Super Junior Sungmin is also now ready to return to the K-pop stage in about two years. On this day, the "Orgel" singer will kick off with a new track, "Good Night, Summer." The song aims to comfort listeners amid the hot summer despite being restless due to various reasons.
As a special treat to all of the fans who wait for his return, Sungmin also wrote and composed the track, "Blooming," containing warm and beautiful lyrics of being able to be together now and tomorrow.
Following Young K and Sungmin, Yang Yoseob of the group HIGHLIGHT will return with his first solo full-length album "Chocolate Box" on the 20th.
This will be his first solo release following his military discharge. Thus, fans should look forward to his new colors.
"Chocolate Box" will particularly contain various genres of music. Expectations are high on the kind of music Yang Yoseob will showcase, given that he's one of K-pop's best vocalists.
Lastly, SHINee Key will also celebrate both his solo comeback in two and a half years as well as birthday month with a new album.
The "Forever Yours" singer, who will celebrate his birthday on September 23, will release his new mini-album, "BAD LOVE" on September 27. It will contain six tracks planned and participated by Key himself.
On September 26, he will also have his solo Beyond Live concert, "GROKS IN THE KEYLAND," where fans can hear his new song for the first time.
As a pre-release, Key also dropped last August 30th his new song, "Hate That..." featuring Taeyeon.
BLACKPINK Lisa Solo Debut LALISA Out in September
Amid the pool of male idol-soloists who will have their new releases this September, Lisa is also heralding to dominate as a "Solo Queen" with her first solo single album, "LALISA."
According to YG Entertainment, both the title song "LALISA" and the track "Money" are known as hip-hop genres that feature dynamic rhythms, melodies, and relentless rap.
With Lisa's exceptional dancing skills, it is expected that the upcoming soloist will showcase perfect dance choreography to keep up with the songs' energy.
The aforementioned songs are also participated by YG Black Label's flagship producer Teddy, 24, Bekuh BOOM, R.Tee, and Vince, drawing more attention.
