On September 8, a tvN representative confirmed, “PD Na Young Suk and SEVENTEEN are currently filming. We ask for your understanding as we cannot provide specific details in order to ensure a safe and smooth filming process. We will provide more information as it becomes available.”
Earlier in the day, SEVENTEEN and the production team led by PD Na Young Suk were spotted at the airport following the conclusion of the group’s “FOLLOW” tour in Japan. As a result, speculations arise that SEVENTEEN might be heading to another country for the filming of “Youth Over Flowers.”
SEVENTEEN earned the opportunity to have their own “Youth Over Flowers” series after their appearance on PD Na Young Suk’s YouTube variety show “The Game Caterers 2.” During the show, the SEVENTEEN members wrote down a wish they hoped the production team would grant. Out of 60 empty wish coupons, they miraculously drew the “SEVENTEEN’s ‘Youth Over Flowers'” coupon in just two attempts.
“Youth Over Flowers” is a travel variety show where the production team tricks the cast members into spontaneous trips. It first premiered on tvN in 2014, with the last series featuring WINNER aired in 2017.
