“They even warned about this.”

SM Entertainment‘s SMTOWN Wonderland Halloween party is something K-Pop fans look forward to every year. The event was initially inspired by SHINee, who showed up in costume at the original company-wide Halloween party.

Since then, the event has become a sort of Met Gala for K-Pop, as SM Entertainment artists delight fans with their surprising and fully committed costumes.

Of course, fans were excited about SM Entertainment’s notice about the SMTOWN Wonderland Halloween party for 2022, which will be broadcast on October 30 through Beyond LIVE.

The notice was generally what fans expected, giving details about how to watch the stream and warning viewers that while there isn’t an age restriction, “all artists will attend in makeup and costumes.”

But fans couldn’t stop laughing over one specific detail from the notice as SM Entertainment warned that they wouldn’t be displaying idols’ names as they appeared on camera since it might be too difficult to identify them.

Fans immediately understood how difficult some idols might be to identify since they tend to go all out with their costumes.

Although some fans argued that SM Entertainment could ask their idols in advance for their costumes…

Fans were mostly entertained by how SM Entertainment was “protecting” itself from any blame from viewers.

With all SM Entertainment artists, “apart from KANGTA and BoA,” expected to have “at least one member from each group” attend the event, fans have a lot to look forward to.
