Samsung Electronics is actively marketing their products with BTS in order to tap into overseas markets. They will release a 'Galaxy BTS Special Edition'.
Samsung Electronics recently announced on their Twitter account that they will release a special edition of Samsung Galaxy on July 9.
The 13-second video features the phrase "Find your Purple on July 9" along with seven purple hearts symbolizing the members of BTS and a smartphone box imprinted with Samsung and BTS logos. Pre-orders for the Galaxy BTS Special Edition will run from June 19 to July 5.
Samsung Electronics is aiming to improve their overseas sales by introducing BTS as their advertising model for the flagship Galaxy S20 series and foldable phone Galaxy Z-flip. Samsung and BTS, which formed an official partnership earlier this year, are expanding their global collaboration, starting with the global contemporary art exhibition project 'Connect BTS', which took place in five foreign cities.
At the 2020 Galaxy Unpacked event, where Samsung Electronics unveiled the Galaxy S20 series, image of BTS member V wearing the wireless earphone 'Galaxy Buds Plus' was spotted on the stage, drawing attention. Although Samsung did not disclose details of the contract at the time, the collaboration between Samsung and BTS is believed to be more than just a simple model contract.
In fact, photos and videos of BTS using Samsung Electronics' smartphones are frequently posted on Samsung Electronics' official SNS accounts such as Weibo, Twitter, and YouTube, and BTS members' personal SNS. As BTS has many fans around the world, the response to the posts is also hot.
The 'Galaxy X BTS' video, which featured BTS member Jungkook uploaded to Samsung's YouTube channel in March, surpassed 1 million views in just 15 days. Recently, he revealed behind-the-scenes stories of the promotions. Fans are showing great interest in the images of BTS in their daily lives.
However, it is not clear whether the smartphone corresponding to the Galaxy BTS Special Edition is the Galaxy S20 series, the Galaxy Z-flip, or another model.
