According to the new system, songs are certified silver once they reach 30 million streams, gold at 50 million streams, and platinum at 100 million streams.
In the RIAJ’s newly announced batch of certifications, TWICE’s Nayeon earned her first RIAJ platinum certification as a soloist: her solo debut track “POP!” was officially certified platinum after surpassing 100 million streams in Japan.
Additionally, both NewJeans’ “OMG” and BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” similarly earned platinum certifications this month after reaching 100 million streams each.
BLACKPINK also earned a gold certification for the Korean version of their popular B-side “Forever Young” after it surpassed 50 million streams.
Finally, Stray Kids’ hit song “MANIAC” was similarly certified gold for reaching 50 million streams in Japan.
Congratulations to Nayeon, NewJeans, BLACKPINK, and Stray Kids!
