Kang Tae Oh In Talks To Star In New Rom-Com As 1st Project Following Military Discharge
Kang Tae Oh may be gearing up for his first project after completing his military service!
On March 18, OSEN reported that Kang Tae Oh has decided to star in the upcoming drama “Potato Research Institute” (literal title).
In response to the report, Kang Tae Oh’s agency Man of Creation stated, “‘Potato Research Institute’ is a project that Kang Tae Oh is currently positively considering.”
“Potato Research Institute” is a romantic comedy series set against the backdrop of a rural potato research institute. Kang Tae Oh is in talks for the role of the main lead, a character blessed with perfect looks but is an outsider who also possesses unexpected charm. This project marks another collaboration between the creators of “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung,” with writer Kim Ho Soo and director Kang Il Soo at the helm.
If confirmed, “Potato Research Institute” will be Kang Tae Oh’s eagerly awaited comeback project following his discharge from military service.
Having enlisted on September 20, 2022, Kang Tae Oh is set to be discharged on March 19, 2024.
“Potato Research Institute” will reportedly air on tvN in the latter half of 2024 or in 2025. Stay tuned for more updates!
