Kang Daniel And TWICE Jihyo Confirmed To Have Broken Up Due To Busy Schedules
An official from Jihyo's agency JYP Entertainment said on November 10 that, "It was true that they had just broken up."
The two were seniors and juniors in the K-Pop scene and reportedly met through the introduction of their acquaintances and developed into lovers in 2018. Jihyo and Kang Daniel officially admitted their romantic relationship in August last year, saying, "We are in a good relationship."
Although they received explosive attention after the public dating news as top K-Pop idols, Kang Daniel and Jihyo had to continue their activities as soloists and TWICE, and the two were too busy to continue their love. The news of their breakup came about a year and three months later.
A close source to the two told Dispatch on November 10 that both had clear goals. As they focused on working on their albums, they had fewer meetings. "They think work is more important," he said, hinting at the reason for the breakup.
Jihyo is back with TWICE's full-length album 'Eyes Wide Open.' Meanwhile, Kang Daniel is currently preparing for a new album.
