BLACKPINK Jisoo recently graced the covers of W Korea’s spring issue, blessing us with her goddess-like beauty. She was featured with beautiful tight waves, a hairstyle that fans have yet to see on the star prior to this.

However, did you notice that the two styles she rocked are actually part of South Korea’s 2021 hair trends for perms? Yearly, star stylist Cha Hong releases a set of specially designed perms that become the go-to for perm trends all around the country. The first style Jisoo pulls off is similar to the “Fog Perm”, with tight springy curls that go all the way up to the bangs.
The second is more similar to the “Jelly Perm”, a looser and more natural take on the previous “Fog Perm”. The bangs are also given loose waves that frame the face, rather than tight curls. Definitely a more day-to-day look!
Cha Hong’s selection of perms always ends up becoming the standard across the country! She was once hairstylist to the stars, until she opened her own highly successful chain of beauty salons, Cha Hong Room and Cha Hong Ardor.
Besides her stunning visuals (as always) on the cover of W Korea, this trendy hairstyle is also what fans feel exciting about because the visual of BLACKPINK has always been known for her elegant, basic straight hair with dark color. She sometimes changes to wavy hair but not too often, or using hats of hair cliffs to style. However, this curly messy long hair of Jisoo is a fresh step to the female idol.
There was this era when Jisoo had her iconic purple/reddish hair. However, she kept this in just a short time.
Will you be trying out any of these hairstyles this coming spring?
