Accordingly, the first suspect is Jo Joo Bin - born in 1995 (25 years old). He is the one who created and managed the chat room called Baksa Bang (Doctor Chat Room) on Telegram. It is known that there are 74 confirmed victims so far, including 16 teenagers.
Jo Joo Bin graduated from Inha Technical College, Department of Information and Communications, in 2018. SBS went to his school and found out some information about his school years. Jo majored in information and communication, but because he liked to write, he won first place in a book review contest and became the chief editor of the university magazine. He also wrote a number of sections in their academic magazines, but then he moved from school life to emotional writing.
Jo Joo Bin received many scholarships and achieved an average grade of 4.0 in 3 out of 4 semesters at the university. The students in the school shared, for the high grades and activities, he were appreciated and deserved to be listed as an excellent student. However, the relationship between him and his classmates were not good. Some said that Joo Bin knows no limit when dating girls: "I think he's a silent kid that I can see anywhere". The police initially said Jo Joo Bin had started committing crimes since 2018, shortly after graduating. He initially engaged in fraudulent actions to obtain money by drug and gun related transactions through deceptive Telegram ads. Joo Bin then started his sex trades by setting up a 'Doctor's Chat Room' last September.
