Jellyfish Entertainment confirmed that girl group gugudan will be offcially disbanded and all of their joint activities will end starting December 31.

gugudan's agency Jellyfish Entertainment said on December 30, "gugudan, who has been working hard and receiving a lot of love since their debut, will end their official group activities on December 31. After a long period of in-depth and careful discussions, the company and the gugudan members finally agreed to end the group's activities."
"Although the group activities will end, we will do our best to provide full support for the members' various personal activities such as music and acting," they added.
gugudan made their debut in 2016 as a group of eight members: Mimi, Hana, Haebin, Nayoung, Sejeong, Sally, Soyee, Mina and Hyeyeon. Hyeyeon left the team in October 2018. It's been 2 years since the girls had their last group activities together.
