Girls' Generation's Taeyeon visits subway stations and gets surprised when she isn't recognized by the public
In a recent video uploaded on her official YouTube channel, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon took the subway on her birthday to see the ads purchased by her fans. But when walking to and from the subway, Taeyeon realized that people "didn't recognize her."
"So, it was really comfortable to go to the subways. I should really do this more often," remarked Taeyeon.
Laughing, she added: "They mostly look at their phones and stare at the ground."
In the video, Taeyeon also stood waiting for her own video ads, since there were "many ads other than [her's]" and took photos 'with herself' in a special photobooth designed by her fans.

In the comments section of media coverage, netizens left comments such as:
"I don't think people didn't recognize her. I think it might be the fans who are respecting her privacy and pretending not to see her so that she can have her freedom~^^"
"I'm not interested in other people on the subway...I wouldn't have noticed even if it were the president"
"On the subway people really do look at just their phones, so if you have a hat on with a mask, then people wouldn't even be able to recognize you haha I remember Taylor Swift also wasn't recognized when she was on the subway"
"I think it would be stranger if people recognized her after covering herself up like that so much haha"
