Former (G)I-DLE member Soojin is making her solo debut this year.

On October 16, News1 reported that former (G)I-DLE member Soojin recently signed a contract with BRD Communications and is preparing for her solo debut this month.

In response to the report, BRD Communications shared the news of signing an exclusive contract with Soojin and confirmed plans for her solo debut by saying, “We plan to release her [solo debut] album within this year.”

Due to controversy over school violence in 2021, Soojin left her group (G)I-DLE in August of that year, and her exclusive contract with her former agency Cube Entertainment was terminated. In September 2022, Soojin’s legal representative made a statement announcing a close to the lawsuit against her school bullying allegations. Since then, she was taking a hiatus from her activities but has continued to communicate with fans through her personal social media account.
