Here are the K-pop Comebacks and Solo Debuts to Anticipate in the First Week of September
The fourth-generation girl group STAYC is set to return to the K-pop scene on Sept. 6 with their first mini-album "STEREOTYPE." This album is the band's first release in five months after their second single album "STAYDOM" released in April. Additionally, the mini-album will contain the title song of the same name, which depicts the unique youth and elegance of the sextet.
OMEGA X's comeback is also scheduled on Sept. 6 when they will release their first single, titled "WHAT'S GOIN' ON." This is the boy group's first comeback since their debut at the end of June with "VAMOS," which was sold out.
OMEGA X is an 11-piece boy group that is composed of members who previously debuted in other idol groups, most of which have already disbanded. Eight of the 11 members have also participated in audition programs including Mnet's "Produce 101 Season 2" and MIXNINE.
DAY6 Young K
Aside from comebacks, there will also be a K-pop solo debut on Sept. 6, and it will be the debut of DAY6 Young K. He will release his first solo album "Eternal," marking his first-ever solo work in six years.
Young K participated in the overall production of the album, including writing and composition of all the songs. The title track of his album will be "I'll Hug You Till The End."
Baek A Yeon
On Sept. 7, Baek A Yeon is set to drop her fifth mini-album, "Observe," which will contain a total of six songs including the title track "0%" which means "What Do You Do When You Don't Want to Do Anything."
"0%" will be a medium-tempo song that is meant for those who are tired of their daily lives and need to recharge.
MAMAMOO's junior girl group PURPLE KISS will also make a comeback in the first week of September. They will release their second mini-album "HIDE & SEEK" on Sept. 8. It will be their first album in six months since their debut album "Into Violet."
"HIDE & SEEK" will feature the title song "Zombie." The girl group has already revealed the music video teasers for "Zombie" featuring the members separately.
HyunA and DAWN
Korean couple celebrity HyunA and DAWN will release their first album together, entitled "1+1=1," on Sept. 9. The EP will be composed of four songs, including the title track "PING PONG."
DAWN took part in writing the lyrics and composing all of the songs, while HyunA participated in composing "PING PONG" and "XOXO" and penning lyrics for these two songs and "I Know."
Lee Hi is also included in the line-up of K-pop comebacks in the first week of September. She will drop her third full-length album "4 ONLY" on Sept. 9. This album will comprise 10 songs, with "Red Lipstick" (featuring Mirae Yoon) serving as the title track.
Lee Hi has songwriting, composing, and arranging credits in seven of the 10 songs in her "4 ONLY" album. It is expected that the artist will show her mature side even more.
Another K-pop solo debut this September will be the much-awaited debut of BLACKPINK Lisa. She will release her first single album "LALISA" on Sept. 10. She will be the third member of the girl group to make her solo debut, following Jennie and Rosé.
