BTS's Jimin Becomes 1st K-Pop Soloist In History To Enter Top 2 Of Billboard 200 With Multiple Albums
On July 28 local time, Billboard announced that Jimin’s new solo album “MUSE” had debuted at No. 2 on its Top 200 Albums chart, which ranks the most popular albums in the United States.
“MUSE” has now matched Jimin’s own record for the highest-ranking album by a Korean solo artist: back in 2023, Jimin’s solo debut album “FACE” made him the first K-pop soloist ever to reach the top 2 of the Billboard 200.
With this new entry, Jimin has also made history as the first Korean solo artist ever to land more than one album in the top 3 of the Billboard 200.
According to Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music), “MUSE” earned a total of 96,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on July 25. The album’s total score consisted of 74,000 traditional album sales, 15,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units, and 7,000 track equivalent album (TEA) units.
Congratulations to Jimin on his historic achievement!
