Global boy group BTS is expected to make a special appearance on KBS1's 'News 9' on September 10.
According to broadcasting officials, BTS will join KBS1's 'News 9', which will air on September 10. BTS, who rewrote the history of the domestic music industry by scoring the highest spot on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, is expected to have a frank talk on the show about their recent activities and successes. This broadcast is likely to be pre-recorded, not live.
Earlier, Billboard announced on August 31 (local time) that BTS topped the main Billboard Hot 100 with 'Dynamite'. The song has been at the top of the chart for two straight weeks. Hot 100 is Billboard's main chart that aggregates the rankings of singles by combining their streaming, radio broadcasts and music sales. Therefore, what BTS has done is a huge achievement in their career.
'Dynamite', which was released worldwide on August 21, is a cheerful disco pop song aiming at cheering people up during difficult times, especially when the COVID-19 pandemic is ravaging the Earth.
Meanwhile, BTS is also set to release a new full-length album in the second half of 2020. The broadcast tomorrow may shed some light on their upcoming comeback as well.
