The music video for 'Dynamite' by global boy group BTS surpassed 500 million views on YouTube, about two months after its release.
According to their agency Big Hit Entertainment, the MV for BTS's digital single 'Dynamite', which was released at 1 PM KST on August 21, exceeded 500 million views on YouTube at 9:06 AM KST on October 20. This marks the 10th time BTS has an MV with 500 million views.
ARMYs (their fans) have celebrated this milestone, with hashtags such as #Dynamite500M and #BTS_Dynamite topping the worldwide trending on Twitter.
BTS's 'Dynamite' is a bright and exciting disco pop song. It it BTS's own 'healing song' to deliver a message of vitality and hope during this difficult time caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The MV, which features background using colorful colors and retro props and costumes, reached 101 million views in just 24 hours, breaking the record for the most views in 24 hours in YouTube's history.
